jul-gonu

A tactile Three.js Jul-Gonu board with synced Korean line-play, direct taps, and custodian capture drills.

About this tile

Jul-Gonu is a compact Korean line-and-point board game for two players. This Poe app presents the four-line 4x4 intersection board as a tactile Three.js surface with rounded stones, clear legal destination glows, and direct tap play sized for phone screens and feed iframes.

Each side begins with four stones on the rank closest to them. On a turn, slide one stone one intersection horizontally or vertically onto an empty point. Captures use the custodian method: if your move brackets one or more opposing stones in a straight line between two of your stones, those stones are removed. Moving between two opposing stones is allowed and does not self-capture. The first player to remove all opposing stones wins the round.

The app includes a quick capture drill for practicing the bracket pattern, synced-store backed state, deterministic mutators, and mobile-focused hit targets aligned to the visible board intersections.
