Jump Step is an original hold-to-charge precision jumping game for Poe. Press to build jump power, release toward the next platform, and stack center-hit combos for bigger scores.

What you can do

  • Play instantly — each run starts on the first platform with no menu gate.
  • Feel the jump — charge anticipation, arcing release motion, landing squash, and miss/fall feedback make each touch readable.
  • Chase precision — center landings extend the combo chain and add bonus points.
  • Retry quickly — missed jumps show run feedback and a one-tap restart.
  • Compare scores — completed runs publish to a public synced-store leaderboard.

Built on Synced-Store

This app uses the Poe app platform's synced-store primitive for public leaderboard records only. It does not store private player progress or hidden inventory state.

How it was made

Jump Step was built and polished using Codex and OpenSpec in ~/mobile-game-clones/games/jump-step. The game is a vanilla TypeScript Poe app with hand-authored SVG/DOM gameplay, generated platform spacing, animated hold/release/land/fail states, and focused tests for the hold-to-charge run loop.
