kharbaga

A polished 5x5 Kharbaga capture game with synced state and a Three.js board.

About this tile

Kharbaga is a compact two-player North African capture game for Poe. This app implements the common 5x5 Alquerque-family variant: every point except the center starts occupied, men move forward or sideways along marked lines, and pieces that reach the far rank become Mullahs that can move and capture in any direction.

Captures are compulsory, the move with the longest capture line must be taken, and multi-jumps continue with the same piece until no further capture is possible. A player wins by removing every opposing piece or leaving the next player with no legal move. The app includes deterministic drills for a quick capture, a chained jump, and a Mullah back-capture.

The implementation uses synced-store for authoritative shared state, a Three.js board renderer with transparent click targets, and a mobile-first layout tuned for a 300x500 iframe.
