latrunculi

A compact Ludus Latrunculorum tactics board with sliding stones and custodial captures.

About this tile

A compact Ludus Latrunculorum / Latrunculi tactics game for Poe.

The app presents a polished Three.js Roman tactics board where players tap stones directly on the board, slide orthogonally through empty lanes, and win by custodial capture. Enemy stones are removed when they are trapped between the moved stone and another friendly stone, or between the moved stone and the board edge.

The screen is built around the board: score and turn context sit at the top, the bottom rail keeps frequent actions close to the thumb, and legal moves are highlighted directly on the grid. The included capture drill sets up a deterministic one-move win for learning and automated tests.

State is stored with synced-store, so moves are validated by shared mutators and persist with the Poe app instance.
